
The method suggests to shutdown the laptop, remove the battery and adaptor. I got to know this method from this forum (thanks to forum). This is a strange sounding solution but is tested by me and worked well for me and for many others. Update the drivers to the latest version.

In my case, I looked for updated Drivers of touch buttons online at hp.com.

Go to Laptop manufacturer’s website to look for updated software drivers. For other brands, look for similar kind of Softwares running at the moment.
